Silent Night

"Silent Night, Satina’s Night" - A Dragon Age holiday song.

A little holiday treat for my lovely followers, and the fandom at large: a Dragon Age version of the traditional Christmas carol, “Silent Night.” The Prima guide says Satinalia (Thedas’ primary winter holiday) was originally a feast dedicated to Zazikel, but that now the second moon, Satina, is the focus of the celebration. Thus, “Satina’s Night.” And it seems to me that most celebrations in Thedas will take on some Chantry flavor; in this case that Satinalia is now considered to be the day on which Andraste was born.

New lyrics and vocals by me, over a backing track by Karaoke Klassics. As usual, this sounds better (at least on my system) through headphones, rather than laptop speakers. :)

Silent Night, Satina’s NIght

Silent night, Satina’s night
'Cross the land, She shines bright
On this day when Andraste was named
Born to free those Tevinter enslaved
Maker smiled on her birth
Maker smiled on her birth

Silent night, Satina’s night
Her love shines, burning bright
Radiance streamed from Her holy face
Touching all with Andraste’s grace
Hail the Maker’s bride
Hail the Maker’s bride

Silent night, Satina’s night
From Her lips, Chant of Light
Raise your voice with abundant praise
That all people in Thedas be saved
Maker smile on us all
Maker smile on us all
